RFI/RFP Process & Tenders

For factual/technical comparisons of different providers in the context of a planned software implementation project, a format is often chosen that is very similar to a public tender.

We at Zammad GmbH do not normally take part in such tenders, as the bureaucratic processes of an RFI/RFP-based tender are highly inefficient and time-consuming. Furthermore, the requirements drawn up by the client are generally not specific enough in many areas and far too specific (technology openness) in others. The provider's interpretation of brief written descriptions of specific requirements leads to a generous cost estimate and increased calculation bases; in the end, the client almost always receives an upscaled price and reduced functionality in a tender (most software solutions can do more than can be interpreted into the specific requirements and extra costs are calculated in for reducing the functionality).

We at Zammad GmbH do not go down this path and do not participate in tenders, instead we prefer to help you with an orderly selection process and direct procurement.
