How do I start using Zammad?

Zammad is a subscription customer service platform. For as little as €5/mo., we can provide you with your very own “instance” at the URL of your choosing (say, https://gringotts.zammad.com). Then, your support staff will create accounts on this instance to communicate with your customers. Your instance will be totally isolated from our other clients’ instances, so your staff’s accounts will only work at your URL and not anywhere else (and vice versa).

This is called a hosted subscription, and unless you have an IT department or specialist, this is the way to go. Click here to get started; it comes with a no-commitment, 100% free 30-day trial.

But Zammad isn’t just a customer service platform; it’s also an open source application. This means that you can also self-host Zammad for free, if you’ve got the time and the know-how. We also offer all kinds of support services, from one-off deployment consultations to ongoing support contracts to help you get up and running and iron out any kinks you run into along the way. Of course, you’re under no obligation to purchase these services; “free” really means “free”, no strings attached.

There are no differences in functionality for unpaid users and those with a support contract.

If you’re interested in self-hosting, visit https://zammad.org to download it and take it for a spin. If you get stuck, feel free to contact us to find out how we can help.
